How to update firmware on LUMA detector

This article explains how to update the firmware & drivers on on your LUMA detector.

Updating LUMA firmware

  1. Connect to LUMA using your internet browser (Google Chrome is advised). Log in as 'administrator' and select System on the left-hand menu.
  2. Press Browse under the Update Detector menu. Locate the new LUMABIN file and select it to update the LUMA firmware. 
  3. Reboot LUMA after the firmware update is complete.

Updating LUMA drivers (OpenLab)

  1. This protocol is specific for Agilent's OpenLab CDS, but may be applicable for Empower & Chromeleon, too.
  2. Log onto the PC as local Administrator & close OpenLab CDS.
  3. Run the "VUVAnalytics_LUMA_OpenLabCDS" installer.
  4. If a UAC dialog appears, click "Yes".
  5. If prompted a security alert appears, select "More Info" and then click "Run anyway".
  6. Read & accept the EULA and then click "Install".
  7. Restart the computer once the update is complete.
